ET26SWE0023 - 2026 New Submitters Webinar for Electrification Programs
Cohen Ventures, Inc. DBA Energy Solutions (“Implementer”) and their subcontractors (collectively, the “Program Team”) will hold a virtual event targeted to stakeholders interested in CalNEXT projects that will contribute to energy efficiency savings through electrification programs. The design and outreach for this event will focus on the needs of electrification programs in the efficiency portfolio, many of which are newer. These include the brand new Statewide HVAC Electrification program, electrification and electrification readiness programs being implemented by each investor-owned utility ("IOU"). The implementers, engineers, and administrators of these programs will have important input for CalNEXT about their emerging technology and study needs. CalNEXT’s lead IOU stakeholders emphasize the importance of ET work in electrification because well-designed electrification allows further energy efficiency gains.
The purpose of this event will be to:
1. Provide an introduction to CalNEXT
2. Provide an overview of terminology and program components
3. Provide Background on CalNEXT’s work with electrification, including examples and upcoming priorities
4. Describe how stakeholders can participate
5. Allow for questions about the program or processes
To meet the needs of various stakeholders, the event will be held virtually and there will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.
Attendees will be educated about the value of engaging with the CalNEXT program, with a clear call to action for how to engage and submit ideas and projects. Additionally, this event will highlight the electrification efforts and key stakeholders which the program has worked with to date, as well as outline CalNEXT’s vision for a pathway to efficiency savings through beneficial electrification.
