ET26SWE0030 - 2026 Technology Transfer Outreach and Coordination
Cohen Ventures, Inc. DBA Energy Solutions (“Implementer”) and their subcontractors (collectively the “Program Team”) will conduct outreach with CalNEXT partners and Emerging Technology (“ET”) market actors to reinforce Technology Transfer (“Tech Transfer”) processes and conduct outreach that builds on lessons-learned from the 2025 Technology Transfer Outreach Event.
In Q3 and Q4 of 2026, the Program Team will host outreach calls with ET market actors identified as utilizing, or having strong potential to utilize, CalNEXT project findings. The identification of these ET participants will occur through administrative tasks in Q1-Q2 2026. Leveraging a personalized engagement approach, the team will share findings from completed projects aligned with participants’ interests, and assess and support viable pathways to Tech Transfer.
These interactions and associated program improvements will all serve to facilitate tech transfer to technology being developed in the market and ultimately contribute to desired portfolio impacts.
- Meetings with ET industry actors will deepen understanding of their needs and connect them to relevant projects, of which they may not be aware.
- Lessons-learned from the 2025 Tech Transfer Outreach Event indicate that direct engagement with California’s (“CA”) statewide Energy Efficiency (“EE”) Portfolio participants is well-received and encourages trust in the CalNEXT program.
- This engagement will aim to socialize CalNEXT work and next steps toward achieving Tech Transfer, and will consequently highlight further program outreach opportunities that will support Tech Transfer efforts.
