The Program Team will attend “LightFair 2023,” an in-person conference, in New York, NY between May 21-25, 2023. LightFair is the “world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference” and “offers the most comprehensive, world-class Continuing Education in the lighting industry to complement product discovery and networking.” The purpose of CalNEXT attending LightFair is to broaden outreach efforts to new ET stakeholders, learn about new energy efficiency (EE) technologies in the industry by attending relevant educational sessions, hold an educational session called “Bringing Emerging Lighting Technologies to the Mass Market: What are the Drivers and how can you be Involved?” and socialize CalNEXT by making new connections with manufacturers and entrepreneurs. The educational proposal has been approved by LightFair and will be hosted by CalNEXT representative Yao-Jung Wen, PhD, LC, Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) representative Chris Wolgamott, CEM, CDSM, and Department of Energy (DOE) representative Axel Pearson, LC.
